'Govinda Aala Re Aalaaaa!'
Those scarily magnificent human pyramids during Janmashtami celebrations are a sight to behold, aren't they? Made of skilled, nimble players who construct these multi-tiered human pyramids to get at that prized clay pot (the handi / matka / kudike) filled with curd and butter! The 'dahi handi' (and its many variations across the country) is a game of skill and daring that symbolises the coming together of an entire community in a festive atmosphere! This wooden stacking toy by Gubbachhi is our humble tribute to this amazing event!

Benefits

1: Problem Solving:
Building a mini human pyramid is a task that challenges young minds and little fingers to find the best combination of figures to ensure a stable structure. Encourages focus and helps develop problem-solving skills in children.

2: Sparks imagination through open-play:
Although this stacker has a specific end outcome (the creation of a human pyramid), children can also use the wooden human figures however they please - creating a gang of friends, or a family, or a classroom full of students - letting their imagination run riot!

3: Social Skills:
Let your child play with this stacker along with a friend, sibling or a parent. Because when many hands, and minds work together, it'll go a long way in developing social and collaborative skills (just like the dahi handi!)

4: Learn about Indian culture and festivals:
This is a great opportunity for parents to introduce young children to the many multi-cultural and multi-religious festivals of this amazingly diverse country called India. Also teaches them about the spirit of collaboration and team work!

Care

Gently wipe with a damp cloth (avoid excessive rubbing) to remove dirt or food stains and air dry.

"I was happy to see the good quality stamps. After my son and my nephews were done stamping on the bag provided in the kit, I saw them extend it to making greeting cards and using it for school projects. Long lasting stamps that can be passed on to the next generation."
